Star Point Corp introduces Uponus Technologies, LLC – developer of lossless compression and encryption technologies.
Cryptographic technology solutions from Uponus can encrypt both streaming voice and data, including video, on-the-fly with virtually no latency even where resource utilization is an issue. The solutions are easy to use and can be implemented so that they are transparent to an end-user and resolve the limitations of competitive products that are cumbersome and are not able to keep up with the demands of streaming data. They work across multiple platforms to create a truly secure environment or a virtual private network.
The Uponus’ patented encryption technology (SASE™) uses a highly original and non-conventional cryptographic approach which overcomes the limitations of the existing standards. Because of its unique design, SASE is not susceptible to any form of traditional attack or cryptanalysis. SASE encrypted data does not look like encrypted data as it does not leave any signatures or tells. The SASE-encrypted output looks like random data or noise.
Additionally, the Uponus patent-pending key management system (KMS) creates a seamless and secure system to transfer a secure secret key, a traditional weakness in creating a secure environment. The KMS is a simple and elegant solution that effectively transfers a secure secret key without actually passing the key. The method can be implemented so that no human intervention is required.
Another technology developed by Uponus is the lossless compression (WAKit™) that can easily compress raw data in a streaming on-the-fly environment either on its own or in combination with SASE. WAKit is more than 3 times faster, uses significantly less resources, and has less latency than existing technologies. Further, WAKit is not a one-size-fits–all solution. It can be used to obtain better compression because WAKit can be easily tailored to take advantage of compression opportunities depending on the underlying data structure.
