CloudPassage: Everything You Need to Secure Your Cloud Servers

CloudPassage Halo is your security command center for securing your cloud servers – any cloud provider, any hypervisor, anytime.

CloudPassage Halo, the award winning server security platform, bridges the gap between traditional perimeter-oriented data center security and security in dynamic cloud environments. Halo offers a broad range of features to address cloud security issues from dynamic firewall automation to software vulnerability assessment, Halo event logging and alerting, account management and more. Delivered as Software-as-a-Service, Halo requires no hardware, complex deployment or special expertise.

The unique platform architecture includes three components

Halo Daemon: The Halo Daemon is a very lightweight (~2 Mb) and secure software component that runs as a service on each cloud server. The Halo Daemon monitors important server security factors, provides information to the Halo Grid as needed, and responds to commands from the Halo Grid to take actions based on pre-configured or customized security policies.

Halo Grid: The Halo Grid is a powerful and sophisticated elastic compute grid that provides sophisticated analytics that evaluate data collected by the Halo Daemon. The Halo Grid does the “heavy lifting” on behalf of the Halo Daemons, ensuring that customers’ server resources and performance are preserved.

Halo Portal: The Halo Portal is the “single pane of glass” used to manage all Halo product capabilities. The interface was designed in collaboration with UX/UI experts and real-world users of CloudPassage products to help provide easily accessible, intuitive functionality.

The innovations behind Halo result in elastic, scalable and portable security that bursts along with the servers and can migrate across IaaS environments as a part of the virtual machine. The automation and elasticity of the Halo products dramatically reduces operational overhead and opportunities for error while delivering the must-have controls for server security and compliance in the cloud.
